Penarth and District Delegates Meeting -10th
April 2014
The meeting was opened by Liz Hollingsworth who welcomed
everyone.

Minutes of
Previous Meeting
The minutes of the previous meeting of 13th March
2014 were taken as read. It was proposed
by Denise Letts and seconded by Val
Matters arising
The posters regarding recruitment of skittles players have
been printed. Liz apologised for this but unfortunately the information she had
been given was that it had been okay to have them printed. She raised concerns regarding the poster
designed by other members as it involved personal information such names and
telephone numbers being left on notice boards in pubs and clubs.
The posters, flyers, etc have been printed for the summer
bash.
There was an issue regarding the league tables on the
website and the league tables complied by the fixture secretary. It was felt that possibly a management meeting
should be held to sort this out. It was
explained that the discrepancy is possible due to late cards and postponed
games. It was agreed that the score
cards and tables should be carried out by one person as it was getting
confusing with two people doing it. Liz
advised that she had offered to show how to update the league table but the
offer had not been taken up. It was agreed that the website league table would
not be updated. It was agreed that Terry
would provide the up to date league tables to Corinne who would forward to the
Penarth times.
Graham Marsh asked if the missing card for the Cons Ladies
had turned up. He was advised no. Keith for the Llandough C also advised that
their result for that week had not appeared in Penarth times. Corinne advised that it was likely that she
had overlooked it as she had commented that all the teams cards had been there
that week. She would advised that she
would check when she got home and would ring him directly.
Treasurer’s Report
Deposit account stands at £1335.30
Current Account stands at £963.36
Holme Towers account stands at £305.21 and was rising
Fixtures Secretary
Terry apologised for the issue with the league tables but
had been working through them with the assistance of Corinne & Liz
AOB
The extra player rule was
raised by the Cons Artists and was then discussed. They were advised to
put it in writing to the chairman as it would have to be discussed at the agm.
Voting at the agm was also discussed as at the moment anyone
could vote which can sometimes make it difficult to get a motion through. Better
idea would be one vote per team.

June 2014 at the Cons Club. Brochures
and letters available if anyone would
like to ask for donations. Speak to joan
for further information.
Liz announced that she will not be standing for Chair next
year.
